Customer Needs & Challenges

The customer needed one complete cooking line for a wok-based kitchen – range, hoods, wall covering and storage – rather than four separate orders from four different suppliers. The main challenges were:

  1. Each wok burner needed its own water tap within reach of the cook, with supply and drainage routed inside the unit instead of laid across the floor.
  2. The exhaust hoods had to carry a double-tier shelf along the whole line and still allow the baffle filters to be lifted out for cleaning without tools.
  3. The wall cladding had to run full height around existing columns, pipe drops and window openings, with tight panel seams instead of open gaps where grease and dust collect.
  4. Every storage cabinet had to be lockable and stand on sealed legs, so staff can hose the floor underneath without water pooling against the panels.

Our Solution

The line was built from one approved drawing set, so the range, hoods, cladding and cabinets share the same modular widths and the same joint lines.

Item Actual Configuration
Product Water-fed wok range with wall cladding, hood shelving and under-counter cabinets
Dimensions 6,000 x 700 x 850 mm wok range run with four burners; two exhaust hoods at 3,000 x 1,200 mm each; wall cladding panels to 2,600 mm high
Material 304 stainless steel throughout
Sheet Thickness 1.2 mm worktop, range top and hood body; 1.0 mm cladding and cabinet panels
Structure Welded range body on a reinforced burner frame, independent tap rail with integral drain, hoods with removable baffle filters and double shelf, coved internal corners, lockable under-counter cabinets on sealed legs
Surface Finish Brushed satin finish on visible faces
Quantity 1 x four-burner water-fed wok range, 2 x exhaust hoods with double-tier shelving, 3 x lockable under-counter storage cabinets, 1 x tap rail
Packaging PE film, corner protection and plywood crating; range sections crated separately and labelled to the installation drawing

Manufacturing & Quality Control

So that the assembled line matched the drawing on site, we completed:

  • Laser cutting and CNC bending of the range body, hood shells and cladding panels from the approved flat patterns.
  • Full-length welded seams on food-contact and wet surfaces, ground flush, with coved internal corners so there is no crevice to trap grease.
  • Water-tightness check on the tap rail, drains and backsplash before assembly, plus a fit-up check of hood-to-range alignment.
  • Pre-shipment check of dimensions, panel counts, hardware and packing against the packing list, with photo records sent for approval before dispatch. A third-party inspection can also be arranged on request.

Results

The line was delivered as a single coordinated package and installed against the confirmed drawing. Key value delivered:

  • Hoods, cladding, range and cabinets come from one drawing set, so they line up on site without cutting or shimming.
  • A tap at every burner keeps the cooks at the range instead of walking pots across the kitchen.
  • Lockable under-counter storage keeps pans out of sight and off the floor, which speeds up the daily wash-down.
  • Flush-ground welds and tight panel joints leave a grease-heavy area with fewer places to hold dirt.
