Custom Stainless Steel Fabrication: MOQ and Lead Time
Buyers need to know when the order will be ready and when it will arrive. These are different dates. A useful quotation separates drawing or configuration approval, production, packing, dispatch, international transit and final handover. Ask us to put the confirmed schedule and its starting point in your order quotation. For mixed standard-product orders, plan the quantities for each shipment separately.
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for Custom Fabrication

Our MOQ is 1 unit – for every product, at every customization level. That is the biggest difference between us and most regional suppliers, which typically require 5-10 units before they will start a production run:
Standard products with minor modifications: MOQ is 1 unit. Adding a backsplash to a standard work table or adjusting shelf heights – order a single piece.
Custom-sized standard products: MOQ is 1 unit. Custom-sized work tables, sinks, or shelving units are built to your dimensions from the first piece.
Fully custom designs: MOQ is 1 unit. Even products that need new tooling or custom dies can be produced as a single prototype or pilot unit.
Large-scale projects: For complete kitchen fit-outs or institutional orders, the same 1-unit MOQ applies – scale up at the pace your project requires.
Sampling: Need to validate before committing? Sample production takes 3 days, so you can check fit and finish before placing the full order.
Production Lead Times

Production time is only one part of the delivery schedule. The estimates below describe production; they do not mean the equipment will arrive in the same number of days. Ask for the full schedule against your specification and delivery point.
Standard products: 3-5 days production, plus shipping time.
Custom configurations: 3-5 days for most custom sizes and modifications – custom work runs through the same line as stock products.
Large batch orders: roughly 5 additional days for special finishes or full-container quantities.
Fully custom designs: engineering is included in the standard 3-5 day window for most projects; anything exceptional is confirmed in your quotation before you commit.
Factors that affect lead time:

– Material availability (304 stainless steel is usually in stock)
– Production queue (busy seasons may add a few days)
– Complexity of the design
– Required certifications or testing (NSF orders via our partner factory have separate timelines)
Planning an installation? Share the required arrival date, full destination or nominated pickup point, product configuration and quantity before you place the order. We will confirm the production estimate, packing and dispatch milestones, available shipping route and estimated handover date in the quotation. Do not use a production estimate by itself as an arrival promise.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order quantity for custom stainless steel work tables?
1 unit – at every customization level. Standard modifications, custom sizes, and fully custom designs can all be ordered as a single piece. Contact us for a tailored quote.
How long does custom stainless steel fabrication take?
The production estimate shown above is a planning reference. The quotation for your order should state the configuration, production schedule, packing plan and shipping milestones. See our custom fabrication services for what we build.
Can I order a single custom stainless steel work table?
Yes. Single-unit orders are our standard business model, not an exception – including fully custom designs built from your drawings.
What factors affect production lead time?
Material availability, production queue, design complexity and any agreed inspection or documentation can affect the schedule. Ask which assumptions apply to your order and when production starts.
How does shipping work for international orders?
We can assess DDP delivery to the address you provide, or deliver to an agreed pickup point if that is what you prefer. Your quotation should identify the named handover point, included freight and import scope, and any costs outside the quoted delivery. See our packaging and shipping page for the packing and freight questions to confirm.
Do you offer OEM production for our brand?
Yes – our OEM manufacturing service produces to your drawings and branding, with the same 1-unit MOQ and 3-5 day production window.
