Packaging and Shipping Guide for Stainless Steel Kitchen Equipment

Packaging, freight and handover determine whether an order arrives in the condition and at the place the buyer planned for. This guide explains what to confirm on the quotation and what order-specific evidence to request before dispatch.

Choose packing for the product and route

There is no single crate or carton rule that fits every kitchen order. Packing depends on the product’s shape, weight, exposed corners and finish, removable parts, handling steps, and whether it moves by LCL, FCL, air or truck. Agree the packing method against the actual item and route before booking freight.

Confirm how the top and corners are protected, how loose parts are secured, whether moisture or corrosion protection is needed for the route, and how the package will be marked. Ask for order-specific photos or video of the finished packing before dispatch. The archive photo above is an example; your quotation should describe the packing for your order.

Compare freight at the same delivery point

Freight depends on the packed dimensions and weight, shipment volume, route, transport mode and handover point. When comparing quotes, check that they use the same product configuration, packing assumptions and delivery term.

  • Ask for the packed size, gross weight and number of packages used for the freight estimate.
  • Confirm whether the price covers export handling, international freight, customs clearance, duties and taxes, destination delivery, and unloading.
  • Agree the named delivery address or pickup point, who receives the goods, and what costs or site services remain outside the quote.

We can assess DDP delivery to the address you provide, or deliver to an agreed pickup point if that is what you prefer. The quotation should state the delivery point and included scope.

Record packing and handover

Before dispatch, request photos or video showing the finished equipment, protective materials, package condition and shipping marks. At arrival, photograph any visible damage to the outer package before moving or discarding it, then compare the contents with the packing list and agreed specification. If there is an issue, keep the packaging and contact the seller and carrier promptly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What packaging will my order use?

It depends on the equipment and shipping route. Ask the quotation to name the package type and protection used for your items, and request packing photos or video before dispatch.

How do I compare shipping quotes?

Compare the same packed dimensions, weight, route and delivery point. Check whether customs clearance, duties, taxes, destination delivery and unloading are included or quoted separately.

Can you deliver to my address under DDP?

We can assess DDP against your product, quantity and full destination address. If you prefer to collect through your own carrier, we can quote delivery to an agreed pickup point. The quotation confirms the handover point and scope.

How should I document transport damage?

Photograph visible package damage before unpacking, keep the packaging, record the affected items and contact the seller and carrier promptly. Confirm any inspection or claim deadline with the carrier or insurer for your shipment.
