Custom Fabrication for Food-Contact Equipment
Zibo Cook offers custom stainless steel fabrication for commercial kitchens, food preparation areas and food processing projects. Specify the equipment, dimensions, material grade and cleaning requirements so we can review the design and quote the appropriate construction. Food-contact suitability depends on the finished equipment, not the material name alone.
Materials and Hygienic Design Requirements
Material grade verified before fabrication starts.
- 304 and 316 food-grade stainless steel materials
- Specify smooth, accessible weld finishes and cleanable joints for food-contact areas
- #4 brushed finish or mirror polish for easy cleaning
- Rounded corners and coved edges for hygiene
- Confirm the required product documentation and applicable standards for your equipment and destination before ordering
Our Food Grade Fabrication Services
Surface finished to a cleanable, food-safe grain.
Discuss custom work tables, sinks, shelving, food holding cabinets, preparation stations and food processing equipment with our team. Use the product pages below to select a starting configuration; project-specific dimensions, materials and construction are confirmed in the quotation.
| Equipment | Information to specify | Explore configurations |
|---|---|---|
| Preparation work tables | Overall L × D × H, top thickness, backsplash, shelf or cabinet, feet or castors | Stainless steel work tables |
| Work tables with sinks | Table dimensions, bowl dimensions and position, number of bowls, tap and drain interfaces | Work tables with integrated sinks |
| Work tables with storage | Work surface size, undershelf clearance, storage arrangement and required load | Work tables with an undershelf |
| Food holding cabinets | Intended use, cabinet dimensions, tray layout and any temperature-control requirement | Food holding cabinet options |
| Project-specific fabricated parts | Drawing revision, material grade, component thickness, tolerances and surface finish | Send your fabrication requirements |
These are enquiry starting points, not a promise that every configuration is suitable for every food process. Include the food-contact areas, cleaning chemicals and installation constraints so suitability can be reviewed before production.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes stainless steel food grade?
Material grade is only one part of food-contact suitability. The intended food, cleaning routine, surface finish, welds, drainage and applicable equipment requirements must also be considered. Specify these conditions when requesting a quotation.
Do you provide NSF certification?
We do not hold our own NSF listing. If NSF-listed equipment is required, state the requirement in your enquiry. Before ordering, confirm the exact listed product, listing holder and manufacturing arrangement. A partner facility’s certification should not be treated as certification of every product we quote. Ask for product-specific documentation, quantity and lead time confirmation.
Can you provide material traceability?
Yes – mill test certificates are available on request so you can verify the food-contact grade. Our materials guide page explains documentation.
Which grade should I choose for acidic or salty foods?
Share the food, salt exposure, cleaning chemicals and operating conditions so the material choice can be reviewed. Compare the available options on our 316 stainless steel fabrication page; the final grade is specified in your quotation.
What is the MOQ and lead time for food-grade equipment?
Send the design and quantity so we can confirm the minimum order and production schedule. Sample production, drawing approval and shipping time should be identified separately. See our custom order and lead time page for the ordering process.
Can production be arranged to NSF requirements?
We can review a partner-manufacturing route where an NSF listing is required. Availability is confirmed case by case, with the specific product, listing holder, manufacturing entity, quantity and schedule identified before you place the order.
Do you ship food-grade equipment internationally?
Send the destination country, postcode and preferred delivery term. Shipping scope, freight, import responsibilities and any DDP option are confirmed for the specific order. See our packaging and shipping page for packing information.

What to Include in Your Fabrication Enquiry
- Drawing and dimensions: attach the current revision and state the units, overall L × D × H, component dimensions, tolerances and installation interfaces.
- Material and thickness: specify the required grade and thickness for each part, not just the finished assembly.
- Food-contact and cleaning conditions: identify contact surfaces, drainage needs, cleaning chemicals and access for cleaning or inspection.
- Welds and finish: state visible and food-contact weld requirements, brushed or polished finish, and any reference sample.
- Quantity and delivery: include sample or batch quantity, destination and requested delivery date. Production and shipping are confirmed separately.
- Documentation: list material certificates, inspection records or product-specific certification required for acceptance.
Agree the Inspection and Documentation Scope Before Production
Request the documents and acceptance checks your project needs before approving the order. These may include material traceability, drawing-based dimensional checks and photographs of welds or finished surfaces. Availability and scope must be confirmed in the quotation; a material certificate is not a substitute for certification of the finished equipment.
