Third-Party Inspection 101: How SGS/BV Checks Protect Your Kitchen Equipment Order
An independent pre-shipment inspection checks agreed requirements within a defined scope and sampling plan. Its report records what was examined and observed. It does not guarantee every unit, future performance or regulatory acceptance. Any material-identification tests must be expressly commissioned.
What Is Third-Party Inspection?

An independent pre-shipment inspection checks agreed requirements within a defined scope and sampling plan. Its report records what was examined and observed. It does not guarantee every unit, future performance or regulatory acceptance. Any material-identification tests must be expressly commissioned.
Why You Need It
Third-party inspection protects you from the most common import problems:
- Sample-to-batch mismatch – Production materials differ from the approved specification
- Wrong specifications – Incorrect dimensions, voltage, or components
- Quantity shortfalls – Fewer units than ordered
- Quality defects – Poor welds, scratches, or substandard finishes
What the Inspector Checks
Quantity
The inspector verifies the number of units matches your order.
Quality
Visual inspection for defects, proper welds, surface finish, and overall workmanship.
Materials
Check the specified stainless steel grade and components through agreed traceability records and, where required, suitable composition tests. A visual check alone cannot confirm the grade.
Specifications
Dimensional checks and verification of electrical specs, voltage, and other technical requirements.
Packaging
Confirmation that goods are properly packed for shipping.
When to Schedule Inspection
Agree inspection access, acceptance criteria, correction and reinspection procedures, and payment milestones in writing before ordering. Schedule inspection before dispatch and, if agreed, before the balance payment. Any right to defer payment depends on the contract and applicable rules.
How Much Does It Cost?
Inspection pricing depends on location, inspector time, scope and tests. The original few-hundred-dollar figure is an undated planning example, not a current quote. Request an itemized quotation including travel, testing and any reinspection.
Agree Inspection Access Before Ordering
For your specific Zibo Cook order, request the producing facility, component specification, available material documents, agreed inspection access and correction procedure in writing. Verify capability and scope against current evidence. Zibo Cook.

Scope and verification
Amounts, percentages, lifespans, dimensions and schedule examples retained from the original article are planning references, not current quotations, guaranteed savings, engineering limits or universal requirements. Confirm the actual configuration, date, currency, taxes, service scope and applicable local rules.
Supplier descriptions and historic examples should be verified for the exact order. Request a dated specification, component materials and thickness, applicable model documents, inspection criteria, warranty, production timing and itemized delivery quotation before committing.
Send the product or drawing, quantity, destination and required date. Ask us to confirm the configuration, applicable documentation and itemized delivery scope.
